HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The transition is complete for area Bank of America customers as the bank changed ownership over the weekend from BOA to First Bank of Kansas.
The official transition began Friday when the BOA branch closed. Later that night, all BOA debit and ATM access was turned off. Any new cards were then activated Saturday. The bank opened under its new name on Monday. Other smaller changes will continue through early August.
It was back in February that First Bank announced that it had purchased the BOA branch in Hutchinson as well as McPherson, Salina and Lindsborg.
