HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With more and more people using computers and mobile devices for their financial business,
the Hutchinson Credit Union is expanding its facilities to meet those needs.
HCU is currently expanding its support center located on North Monroe, to accommodate the growth in online service. President Garth Strand says the need for people to handle mobile banking and web support is growing as fewer members physically come to the credit union’s branches to conduct business. The credit union purchased the North Monroe building about two years ago, with the intention of expanding it soon after. The building currently houses the credit union’s call center, loan processing, accounting and various administrative staff. Work also continues on HCU’s addition of a new branch that will be located on North Main near 30th Avenue.
Work is expected to start on that project later this summer.
