A woman who played for basketball for Hutchinson Community College and arrested on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child and entered a “not guilty” plea will go to trial on August 13. That was the date set for Jasmine Patterson Friday by Judge Trish Rose
Patterson is accused of downloading child pornography in her dorm room. The crime allegedly occurred on April 19 of 2011.
The Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reported spotting child pornography being downloaded from a file-sharing network which led to the investigation by Hutchinson Police. Police executed a search warrant and she allegedly possessed sexually explicit photos of children under the age of 18.
A motion deadline in the case was set for July 12.
