HUTCHINSON, Kan. —The 14 North club and restaurant is closing its doors. Michael Lizalde announced on the clubs facebook page that he is selling his building at 12, 14, and 16 North main.
Lizalde says he was approached several months ago about selling the building and decided that it was the right thing to do. Because the restaurants food license is due to be renewed this month the restaurant will close now even though the purchaser of the building wont close until August 1st. The 14 North has been several clubs and restaurants over the past several years. A portion of the building suffered damage when lightning hit it last year. Although he wasn’t specific, Lizalde says he already has plans for another building in town. Lizalde invited everyone to come to the 14 North one last time, say goodbye, and enjoy some food and beverage.
No word on what will move into the building in the future.
