The County sales tax numbers released Friday by County Treasure Clark Miller show a decrease in money collected in June compared to May. However, its still an increase over June of last year.
The county collected 342-thousand, 788-dollars for June, down from 369-thousand, 211-dollars in May, but was still more then June of last year when the county brought in 327-thousand, 379-dollars.
For the year, the county is ahead of where they were last year by over 70-thousand dollars. So far this year, they have brought in over 2-million, 142-thousand dollars. Last year at this time, the number was just over 2-million, 73-thousand dollars.
The numbers released for the month of June reflect sales in the county in April.
