HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Emergency Room (ER) will relocate on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, as a part of an ongoing construction project that, when completed, will nearly double the size of the department.
According to hospital officials, the ER will relocate to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the main floor of the hospital. The ICU has been temporarily moved to the fourth floor of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Kevin Miller, F.A.C.H.E., President and CEO of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, said, if all goes as planned, the relocation process will be completed by 12:00 pm on June 17.
“This ER move is the final relocation of hospital facilities for the duration of the expansion project,” Miller said.
Signage will direct the public to park and enter the ER on the northwest side of the hospital.
Weekly updates will be posted to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center website at www.hutchregional.com on an as-needed basis.
