After a clear & cool night when lows will range from the lower 50s across Northern Kansas to the upper 50s across Southern Kansas the atmosphere will be primed & ready for a chance of severe thunderstorms this weekend. If storms can develop, they are likely to produce large hail around golfball size & damaging winds to 70 mph. For Saturday evening, the area at greatest risk will along and north of the Interstate 70 in Central Kansas. For Sunday, the severe weather threat looks to shift to areas along and southeast of the Kansas Turnpike over the Flint Hills.
