HUTCHINSON, Kan. – About 748 Westar Energy customers were without power for a short time Monday, but the cause remains unknown.
Leanard Allen, spokesman for the company say possibly a branch or animal may have been a factor in the loss of power effecting a piece of equipment of striking a line, but all of those effected by the outage were back on line by mid-afternoon.
He described the outage as being like when you blow a fuse at your home. He says they reset things and that brought power back up.
It effect primarily customers on the west side and west of the city.
