A 25-year-old Hutchinson man failed to convince a pro-tem judge to lower his bond in two cases, one where he was caught with a number of drugs.
Jacob Henson of Hutchinson is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of Oxycodone, possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, namely prescription drugs, both with a prior conviction and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All of these crimes occurring back on March 7, 2013.
Then he’s charged with violating a “protection from abuse” order and admitted in court that he was going through a divorce. This charge comes from an incident back on May 15, when sheriff officers were dispatched to the home where he and his ex-wife were both present. She had apparently gotten a PFA in Sedgwick County, however he claims that the order has been dropped.
He admitted in court to being a drug attic and says he has wanted to get drug treatment.
He requested a reduction in the bond wanting to get back to work in Wichita, but that was denied Shannon Crane who was acting as pro-tem judge while Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen along with the other district judges are at a judicial conference.
