BUHLER, Kan. — Wednesday is the last day of school for students in Buhler USD-313. It is also the last day of operations for both Obee and Prosperity Elementary Schools. Both buildings will close for good with the end of the school year and students will be transferred to other buildings including the new Plum Creek Elementary School.
With construction still going through the summer, students will once again get an extended summer vacation. If approved in the next collective bargaining agreement school for USD-313 will begin September 3rd which is about two weeks later than normal. That will be the last break students get in the school district. If all goes as planed and no construction problems arise, school will run through May.
And the following year, the school schedule will be back to its normal length starting in August and running through May.
