Reno County Sheriff’s Officials are asking for help identifying an individual who in the early morning hours led deputies on a chase before abandoning the vehicle in the 900 block of East 8th.
It started just after 1 a-m, when deputies made a traffic stop on a 1994 Blue Chevy pickup. This unknown male gave what is believed to be a false name before fleeing in the pickup. He nearly ran over a deputy as he fled. The chase ensued for several minutes before he abandoned the truck in the 900 block of East 8th. The man managed to get away after he fled on foot.
Sheriff officials are asking if anyone recognizes the suspect, to please call them at 694-2735.
