Two men arrested in association with a marijuana distribution bust are expected in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing in the case.
A search warrant was served on the home of 29-year-old Jamaal Norris. He along with Corey Smith are both charged in the case. That includes charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana, and a controlled substance all with intent to sell within a thousand feet of a school. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package and two counts of no tax stamp.
The Reno County Drug Unit did a search of the residence in the 500 block of West 8th, and they allegedly located on Norris, a baggie containing suspected marijuana. In his bedroom, they allegedly found more marijuana and numerous digital scales. They also apparently found cocaine and drug potpourri.
According to the complaint, there was at least 3.5 grams of cocaine, at least 25-grams of marijuana and at least 25-grams of a controlled substance.
Both men are free on bond.
