And vehicle stopped on K-96 / K-14 at 56th Street, northwest of Hutchinson was struck from behind Saturday afternoon and sent at least three people to the hospital
It happened around 12:30 p-m, when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Sarah Poe was traveling toward Hutchinson, but had stopped on the two lane highway waiting to make a left turn onto 56th. Her vehicle was then struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Maxine Eidson of Sterling.
Poe, Eidson and a passenger in Poe’s vehicle, 20-years-old Kylee Ingram of Lyons were all taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a passenger in Eidson’s vehicle may have also been injured, however it doesn’t indicate whether 66-year-old Harland Johnson was taken to the hospital.
