Reno County Commissioners Tuesday will take action on two bids for the roof of the new Reno County Jail.
The bid on the roof has been delayed while the board chews over information over whether a more expensive Modified Bit roof is needed for the jail. The board can also go with the bid for the standard roof if they choose.
The cost of the standard roof bid from Precision Roofing of Lees Summit Missouri totals $587,280.00 dollars. The modified roof carries a price tag of $654,730.00.
With those totals, the final price of the jail will be either 21-million 464-thousand dollars or 21-million 538– thousand dollars.
The matter will be up for action during Tuesday’s County Commission meeting which starts at 9 a-m, at the Reno County Courthouse.
