Veterans Parade

The next few days will be very patriotic in Hutchinson while the “American Veterans Traveling Exhibit” is in town. It will be here in the city through Sunday.

The exhibit represents all conflicts the United States has been involved in. Paying respect to veterans, active duty military, police officers and firefighters; anyone whose daily job is to put themselves in harm’s way, to protect and defend our way of life, in locations around the world or here on the home front.

It started Wednesday at Inman High School and then came to Hutchinson with a 21 bike honor guard which rode in a missing man formation with 5 US flags, 2 Kansas flags, 2 each of service flags, 2 POW/MIA flags, and 2 KIA flags and the trailer with the exhibit. Then more bikes, cars, and pickups were behind the trailer containing “The Wall”. It came down Main Street past the Eagle Media Center who is involved with sponsoring the exhibit being here.

Set up of “The Wall” will start at 8:00 a-m, Thursday and again the exhibit will be here through Sunday near the VFW post in Hutchinson at 2nd & Van Buren.
