Another store in the Hutchinson Mall has closed its doors. The Finish Line closed Saturday according to the manager with them being told recently by the owners that they would close the store because of poor sales.
The manager telling Eagle Radio that the slow traffic in the Mall meant low sales. As for plans to open at another location, it appears that they will be closed for good here in Hutchinson. He knew of no plans to move anywhere else.
2-employees are being effected with the closing. The store featured shoes, apparel and accessories in their Hutchinson location.
The closing of the Finish Line is just another in a list of stores that are leaving the mall which is currently in receivership. The biggest to announce their closing lately is Sears. They’re in the process of closing their Hutchinson store with a clearance sale underway. They expect to lock their doors for good later this spring.
Local officials are still hoping a new owner will come in and breathe life back into the mall.
