Roberto Rincon

A 30-year-old Hutchinson man convicted of having a meth lab and wanted a different sentencing judge will be sentenced at some point, however there are motions pending in the case against Roberto Rincon

He was convicted for manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of ephedrine and lithium metal and anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture and possession of drug paraphernalia. Apparently, there are motions pending which will be held on February 10, according to Judge Trish Rose.

Rincon wanted someone else to sentence him in that case instead of Judge Rose. That was denied by the judge. He then filed an affidavit with Administrative Judge Patty Macke-Dick in an effort to get a new sentencing judge which was also denied.

Rincon was also arrested for being in possession of a firearm case and was scheduled to face trial on that charge next week, but that was continued at the request of the defense. Judge Rose says that trial is now scheduled for April 15.
