Parents and guardians of children from birth to age 3 will have the opportunity for their children to be screened during the annual Reno County Early Childhood Screening next Wednesday.
The no-cost screening will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22) at the Hutcherson Center, 330 Charles.
Screenings will be for hearing, health, vision, social/emotional, motor skills, speech/language and thinking/reasoning
Parents or guardians need to bring their children’s immunization records with them and a permission to screen form must be signed.
The event is sponsored by the Early Education Center, Parents As Teachers, Reno County Head Start, United Way of Reno County, Reno County Health Department, Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department for Children and Families.
