HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident around 4 p.m. Monday at 4th & Barnes Lake Road.
Sophia Mendoza was driving her vehicle near that intersection and was rear-ended by a truck driven by 18-year-old Carson Frank of Inman. Mendoza and her passengers, Estrella Mendoza, 14, and Alonzo Mendoza, 8, all of Hutchinson, were taken to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center to be checked out by medical staff. Carson received no injuries.
Everyone stated that they were wearing seat belts.
