TOPEKA, Kan. — Four staff members from Hutchinson Correctional Facility were honored June 14 in Topeka for
being named employees and volunteers of the year for the facility in 2016.
Recipients of the annual awards were: Steve Anderson, Master Sergeant, Uniformed Employee of the Year; Jane Dickson, Accounting Specialist, Non-uniformed Employee of the Year; Joyce Hicks, RN, Contract Employee of the Year; and Sandra Bell, Volunteer of the Year.
The honorees were celebrated at a lunch at the Kansas Department of Corrections’ Central Office in Topeka. They also met with Gov. Sam Brownback at the State Capitol Building, where recipients of overall statewide awards were announced.
