The Reno County Commission approved the contract for County Administrator Gary Meagher during their meeting Tuesday morning.
His overall salary will go from 109-thousand, 242-dollars to 126-thousand, 342-dollars.
That includes the annual salary of 112-thousand, 542-dollars, an increase of 33-hundred dollars, plus a deferred compensation of 1-thousand, 150-dollars, an increase of 36-hundred dollars.
All three commissioners commented on the great work they feel he does as the county administrator.
They pointed out that Meagher in addition to his regular duties has been handling the administrative duties of the land fill since May following the retirement of the landfill director, which has saved money for taxpayers.
He was also called upon for additional supervision of the appraisers office following a resignation there and supervision of human resources until the director returned to work.
Plus, they noted the work he did in bringing savings with the timing of general obligation bonds being sold for the new jail at a lower interest rate, thus paving the way for the bonds to be paid off several years early, with less interest being paid.
They say the 36-hundred dollar deferred compensation was for the additional duties he performed during the year.
