The Reno County Sheriff Sale for delinquent properties is scheduled for Wednesday September 25.
County Counselor Joe O’Sullivan told the County Commission that as of Tuesday morning they still had 63-properties that would go on the sale including Sunflower Wind LLC.
O’Sullivan says it appears that the building will be a part of the tax sale, because those taxes still haven’t been paid for a company that never really got off the ground. They used to have what is the east component of the Eaton Plant at 4th & Airport Road. They did a lot of renovation of the inside of the building and they still owe hundreds of thousands of dollars including interest.
In April the county had 143 properties that were listed but that number has dropped to 63, and O’Sullivan says they have collected 280-thousand dollars in taxes owed.
That number of properties listed for the sheriff’s sale can certainly change again prior the sale on the 25th, but as of Tuesday morning, there were 63.
