A 29-year-old Hutchinson man has been formally charged with drug sales after a drug related search was done on his home on August 27.
Jamaal Norris is now charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, and a controlled substance all with intent to sell within a thousand feet of a school. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package and two counts of no tax stamp.
The Reno County Drug Unit did a search of his residence in the 500 block of West 8th, and they allegedly located on his person, a baggie containing suspected marijuana. In his bedroom, they allegedly found more marijuana and numerous digital scales. They also apparently found cocaine and drug potpourri.
According to the complaint, there was at least 3.5 grams of cocaine, at least 25-grams of marijuana and at least 25-grams of a controlled substance.
He’s free on a 20-thousand dollar bond and will be back in court on September 25.
