A 22-year-old Hutchinson man who is listed as an absconder from the Kansas Department of Corrections was arrested by Hutchinson Police Sunday evening at his residence at 1414 North Madison on drug charges.
Dustin Bright made a court appearance on charges of possession of Hallucinogens, in this case mushrooms with intent to sell within a 1,000 feet of a school, possession of potpourri, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no tax stamp.
Bright is listed as absconder from his community corrections since July 17. This on a conviction for being in possession of drugs for a case going back to January.
In court, Brights bond was set at 15-thousand dollars and he’ll be back in court once formal charges are filed.
Also arrested on drug charges was 37-year-old Charles Davis Jr. He faces charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His bond set at 35-hundred, however he was also arrested for failing to appear in another case. He was apparently able to post bond and will be back in court at a later date.
