A 30-year-old Wichita man who was arrested in Hutchinson in January after a standoff with police has been sentenced to 10-years in federal prison
.
Justin L. Wolke pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a stolen firearm.

In his plea, he admitted that on Jan. 9, 2013, he fled when police officers attempted to stop his car. Wolke was listed at the time as an absconded from parole for convictions of three counts of aggravated assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was apparently spotted by an officer with the state parole office while doing surveillance and looking for him. He attempted to stop the vehicle Wolke was in leading to a brief chase, and Wolke then allegedly bailed from the vehicle and ran away on foot. He later returned to the home at 806 North Monroe. Parole officers were allowed into the home by those renting the home to search for Wolke and then got word that he was in the basement and may be armed. They then backed off, and police were called in.

Police did loose contact with him for some time when he became uncooperative, but eventually they regained contact using a throw phone and they were then able to regain contact. He was eventually convinced him to give up and was taken into custody without incident.

After a standoff lasting several hours, he was arrested. Police seized a rifle from him. They determined the rifle, a Romarm/Cugir, 7.62 x 39, was reported stolen from a residence in Wichita in October 2012.

Wolke has a long list of criminal convictions. In addition to the ones mentioned, he has convictions for criminal damage to property, criminal deprivation of property, two counts of domestic battery, flee and elude, DUI, criminal possession of a firearm and endangering a child. All of theses convictions were from Sedgwick County.
