SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — South Hutchinson Police placed South Hutchinson Elementary School into lockdown for about 30 minutes this morning as they attempted to locate a person of interest with several arrest warrants.
The incident started at around 10 a.m. after authorities were alerted to the presence of the subject in the area of Avenue B and Poplar. Since the subject was considered armed, the police placed the school in lockdown.
Authorities would not identify the person they are looking for, and no arrests have been made at this time.
