HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 46-year-old man was taken to jail Thursday evening after he alleged threatened two Lyons women in the unit block of West B, at a local night club.
Arturo Ortega Marin of charged with two counts of aggravated assault and battery when he threatened the two victims with a knife. He was apparently inside the club, extremely intoxicated. When he was asked to leave, he became belligerent and that is when the altercation began. He threatened the two women and allegedly struck another person in the club with an open hand.
This occurring around 7 p.m. and Arturo is jailed on a bond of $10,500 and he made a first appearance on the charges where the bond was left the same.
Marin does have a previous conviction for aggravated battery from a case in Linn County back in 2009.
He should be back on court on April 15 for the formal reading of charges.
