HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A man local man busted on drug and gun charges was back before a judge Tuesday for the reading of formal charges.

Police came to a home on March 14 and in particular a garage for that home where they suspected Jeremy Frischenmeyer may have have been hiding after he allegedly ran from a traffic stop.

Thirty-two-year-old Johnathon Carson who was standing outside a garage and denied knowing whether anyone was inside.

But, Police allegedly found items consistent with drugs were found leading to a search of the garage and the home. Carson admitted that he had a shotgun inside the garage. They found the gun which was loaded with a modified barrel. They also found some digital scales and baggies with meth residue.

He’s now charged with possession of methamphetamine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal carry of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Once again in court, Carson asked for a bond reduction, even a signature bond, however the state again objected because of his other convictions and the new charges which includes four felonies. Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen told the suspect flat out that a signature or OR bond was out, but also denied the request saying $11,000 bond is reasonable considering the charges.

Also arrested at the home was 24-year-old Bryson Pallen who faces potential charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been formally charged.

By the way, police have not located Frischenmeyer as of yet.
