ARLINGTON, Kan. — Rural fire crews kept busy on Thursday with several fires including a large brush 
fire southwest of Hutchinson.
The fire broke out in the early afternoon around the area of Irish Creek and Whiteside. Crews were helped by an absence of high wind but some of the areas the fire was at were difficult to get to.
So far no reports of any major damage or injuries.
