HUTCHINSON, Kan. – USD 308 spokesman Ray Hemmen says there has been more chatter on social media over possible threats at Hutchinson High School.
He sent us a copy of the message they sent to parents this morning.
It says that overnight Hutchinson Police became aware of a lot of social media chatter, relaying rumors of activities at Hutchinson High School.
Since that time, police have interviewed almost a dozen students to determine the source of the rumor. Police have been unable to substantiate this as anything but a rumor. Investigators do not believe there are any credible threats at the the high school.
He goes on to say that you will notice additional officers around school today in an abundance of caution, but says they will having classes as normal.
