HUTCHINSON, Kan. — We’ve gotten word this morning from Hutchinson USD 308 Superintendent Dr. Shelly Kiblinger that she was not offered the job with the Lawrence School District.
She was one of three finalists for the position in the Lawrence school system. The Lawrence school district has announced the names of three finalists following a meeting Friday night.
The other two finalists are Kyle Hayden of Lawrence and Michael Munoz of Rochester, Minn. Hayden is currently assistant superintendent of business and operations for the Lawrence school district while Munoz is superintendent of the Rochester school district.
Haydon is the one they selected and will take over the position according to the district website. He replaces Rick Doll who has resigned, effective June 30, 2016, to become assistant professor and executive director of the Kansas Educational Leadership Institute at Kansas State University.
Hayden will take over as superintendent of that district on July 1.
Kiblinger says she has no applications out anywhere else and will now focus on being the superintendent in USD 308.
