HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A good crowd showed up for the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Sports 
Arena project, which is under way.
Officials with the city, Hutchinson Community College, the NJCAA and members of the Hutch Wins campaign and the building committee were all on hand to take turns working ceremonial shovels to kick off the project.
Both the north and south ends of the arena ground have been fenced off and prep work is under way to begin demolition of the north parking lot.
