The National Weather Service is warning of very high to extreme grassland fire danger expected again Monday.
South winds are expected to blow 25 to 35 miles-per-hour.
Sunday’s strongest wind gusts of 49 miles-per-hour were reported in Sedgwick County.
The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of 46 miles-per-hour at the Hutchinson, Newton and Salina airports. The airport in Great Bend reported a gust of 45 miles-per-hour.
