HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lacey Mills has been hired for the position of Event Coordinator at the Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson. Mills will oversee TECH fundraising events including Main Street Hops, the Fall Golf Classic, Uncorked, and Holiday Festival.
Mills was previously employed by the Genesis Foundation for Fitness and Tennis in Wichita where she worked to raise funds and manage grant applications. She led efforts for events such as a tennis camp, a 5K run/walk and a poker tournament. In her work at the Foundation, Mills also worked with a board of directors and worked to grow the organization’s social media presence, a role that will be a part of her duties at TECH.
Her previous experience includes the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Wichita, Ag 1 Source in Hesston, Kelly Services in Augusta, Maine, and KSNW-TV 3. Mills is a graduate of Buhler High School, Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University.
Mills replaces Bailey Stiggins as the head of TECH’s events. Stiggins continues her work with TECH on a part-time basis, focusing on external communications and working with the TECH Foundation. Stiggins is also working with BowerComm, a branding and marketing consultancy.
