STAFFORD – After an investigation, officials were unable to determine the exact cause of Wednesday morning’s fire at a home in Stafford, according to Fire Chief Jerry Sanders.
“It appears to be accidental,” he said.
A woman resident at home when the fire started was briefly hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
Damage to the home and contents are estimated at over $80,000 dollars. The residence is a total loss. Two small pets died in the fire, according to Sanders.

STAFFORD -Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire at a home Wednesday morning in Stafford.
The volunteer fire department brought the fire in a house at 415 South Keystone under control quickly.
It is possible the home will be considered a total loss, according to a report from the Stafford County Emergency Management.
The State Fire Marshal’s office has been asked to participate in the investigation.
