HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 22-year-old man bound over for trial for possession of a number of prescription drugs with intent to sell was scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Thursday, but entered a plea instead.
Jonatan J. Jaquez was accused of possession of oxycodone, hydrocodone, clonazepan, codeine and cocaine all with intent to sell, but as part of a plea agreement, the state amended the complaint to simple possession, dropping the intent to sell part of the charges.
It was back on Feb. 15, 2015, when a search warrant was conducted on a residence in the 200 block of East 14th and law enforcement officers allegedly found around 80 various pills as well as the cocaine and a black digital scale with white residue. There were no drug tax stamps for any of the pills or the cocaine.
Because he entered a plea, Judge Trish Rose set sentencing for April 22.
