HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of two suspects in a home invasion case out of South Hutchinson was arraigned on the charges Monday and entered a “not guilty” plea.
Jesse Aich faces several felony counts including two counts of attempted robbery, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated burglary.
Aich and 32-year-old Charles Swepston were both charged for the incident that happened early in the morning on Friday, July 31, 2015.
The victims told South Hutchinson Police that two men had forced their way inside and demanded money and valuables. The two victims reportedly fought with the intruders before Aich allegedly left and came back with a handgun, firing twice, but not hitting anyone. This may be over a drug debt, according to statements made in court.
Aich already has another case pending jury trial in front of Judge Trish Rose. That case involves drug distribution.
