HUTCHINSON Kan. – At the January meeting of the Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees, they heard an update on the upcoming Sports Arena renovation project.
Renovation drawings for the Sports Arena are being finalized with bid packets expected to go out next week. The first phase will include utility and site work along with the north and south additions to the Arena. The second phase will include interior renovations to the existing Arena.
The construction schedule, which calls for a spring 2017 completion, is not expected to impact any upcoming athletic seasons or high school or college graduations.
The board also conducted several items of routine business, including the approval of college bills.
The next meeting of the board will be Thursday, February 11. The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
