HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Local fire and law enforcement personnel are teaming with the American Red Cross in the annual Battle of the Badges blood drive to see who can recruit the most blood donors. First responders often see firsthand the need for blood during emergencies and want to encourage others to join them in ensuring blood is available whenever and wherever it is needed.
The blood drive is Jan. 18 from noon to 7 p.m., Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Jan. 20 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.
If you want to help them, you can call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to make your appointment to give blood.
