HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Residents of City of Hutchinson are being advised that after Christmas, they use the city live Christmas tree drop off sites at Rice and Carey parks which will be open Saturday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Jan 8, 2016.
The city wants you to dispose of their your trees in an eco-friendly way this year. This benefits our community in multiple ways. It helps decrease the amount of debris hauled to the landfill and it’s used as mulch for city projects.
The Christmas tree drop-off location are located in Carey Park at the Salt City Splash Aquatic Center parking lot and at Rice Park 44 Swarens at the south end of Swarens St.
Trees must be free of all lights, decorations and stands. City parks hours are 5am to midnight.
