HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees reviewed and approved several items related to the college’s proposed merger with Sidney’s Hairdressing College.
The board gave its approval to proceeding with finalizing an equipment lease, building lease, consulting agreement and memorandum of understanding for the merger.
Bill Wyer, current Owner of Sidney’s, will continue to operate Sidney’s until June 1, 2016, at which time Hutch CC will assume operations.
In addition, the board approved an amendment to the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan for the City of South Hutchinson and approved a resolution for the City of Hutchinson and Hutchinson Community College inter-local agreement pertaining to improvements to the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The board also conducted several items of routine business, including the approval of college bills.
The next meeting of the board will be Thursday, Jan. 14. The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
