HUTCHINSON, Kan. – So far, no power outages have been reported in Hutchinson, that according to the Westar Energy website, but there are outages have been reported in parts of Reno and Rice Counties according to Ark Valley Electric Cooperative.
Areas in the Ark Valley territory without power include Nickerson, Abbyville, Plevna, Sylvia in Reno County, Sterling in Rice County as well as surrounding areas. That includes knocking Eagle Radio Station KHMY-FM, My 93.1.
According to a recorded phone message, if you’re without power and attempting to call the company, expected longer then normal wait times, because of the number of residents without power.
Westar is reporting some outages north of Haven and also down in Kingman County and Sedgwick counties, near the Cheney area.
