HUTCHINSON, Kan. — This year’s Red Stocking Breakfast event will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Carlos O’Kelly’s, at 909 E. 30th in Hutchinson.
All proceeds will help support KCSL’s Reno County prevention and education programs.
Healthy Families is just one Hutchinson-area program that Red Stocking Breakfast supports. Child abuse prevention efforts and education programs, the period of Purple Crying and the Parent Helpline (1-800-CHILDREN), are all made possible thanks to Kansas Children’s Service League’s (KCSL) signature fundraising event.
While many of KCSL’s programs receive additional support from United Way and other grant sources, all rely on the Red Stocking Breakfast funds to serve their area. This is the sixth year KCSL will host a breakfast in Hutchinson.
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door, children age 10 and under eat free. Advance tickets are available online at www.bit.do/RSBHutch.
The Red Stocking Breakfast is a continuance of a tradition of holiday giving to KCSL that started more than 90 years ago.
KCSL will also hold Red Stocking Breakfast events in Emporia, Wichita, Garden City, Liberal, Topeka and Kansas City.
