HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 38-year-old Haven man charged by the state in a meth distribution case is jailed again on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Apparently, there was a search of his residence in Haven Friday where they allegedly found the drugs and some syringes. He was in court Monday where he was then placed in handcuffs, told of the potential charges and then taken to jail. He was able to post bond.
But, the state filed a motion to revoke his bond in another case, so when was in court, he was placed under arrest, but has since bonded out again.
Peterson had earlier this year entered, “not guilty” pleas to a case after he was arrested on May 23, 2014, after a drug search was conducted at a home he shares with Lacey Nelson. The state alleges that law enforcement found a Pyrex dish with a white powdery substance, a digital scale with meth residue and new packaging materials.
Charges include manufacture of methamphetamine or in the alternative, attempt to manufacture, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and possession of other prescription drugs. He’s also charged with possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute.
Peterson has prior convictions which include possession of drugs, unlawful manufacturing and possession of a precursor to manufacturing. Those convictions go back to Feb. of 2006.
He’ll be back in court on Nov. 23, for the reading of formal charges with this latest arrest.
