HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Pie Five Pizza will open its Hutchinson location Friday and is the 10th in the state overall. The store is located at 1532 E. 17th.
“The ‘five’ in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less!” Jim Stevens, local Pie Five franchisee, said. “There is nothing like Pie Five’s unique concept in the Hutchinson area — with fresh-made dough choices, hand-cut vegetables, and artisan sauces, local residents will now be able to have their pizza on the go without compromising quality for price.”
Stevens is no rookie in the restaurant industry. He owns 24 Applebee’s restaurants, six Jason’s Delis in the Kansas City area, two Pie Five Pizzas in Omaha and three in the Wichita area. Stevens brought Pie Five Pizza to the Wichita and Hutchinson areas because of the brand’s growth opportunities and the lack of local fast casual options.
The bonds within a community are as strong as the bond between gooey mozzarella and fresh toppings! Pie Five understands a good pizza isn’t made with one ingredient, it takes a few.
That’s why Pie Five is donating 50 percent of pre-opening proceeds to the Reno County Food Bank. The nonprofit will be presented with a check the week following opening day.
At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of farm fresh ingredients, artisan sauces and handcrafted crust varieties. Pie Five pies bake in just 145 seconds in a custom-designed, state-of-the-art oven. By the time the guest arrives at the register, their hot, bubbly, pizza perfection is ready. Additionally, they can add one of Pie Five’s freshly-tossed, handmade salads served in a baked pizza dough bowl or a decadent home-baked brownie or cookie pie to their meal. The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for fresh dining options and artisan pizzas without the wait.
Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza Co. is a subsidiary of RAVE Restaurant Group Inc. RAVE owns, franchises and supplies more than 300 Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurants operating domestically and internationally.
