HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The man arrested for the sale of drugs and charged with racketeering was before Judge Tim Chambers this week where he entered a plea in two cases.

According to Deputy District Attorney Tom Stanton, Jeremy Jiles entered pleas to possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package, while charges of personal use drug paraphernalia and no tax stamp were dismissed. That case goes back to Sept. 20, 2013. He had more than 450 grams of marijuana, as well as packaging materials at the time of the arrest.

Jiles entered pleas in the 2014 arrest for one count of distribution of marijuana, one count for the sale of marijuana and two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and criminal possession of a weapon for having brass knuckles.

The case go back to January, February and June of last year.

With him entering a plea, sentencing will come on Dec. 11. Because of the number of charges, Judge Tim Chambers set a special setting for sentencing.
