HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Former Hutchinson Community College President Dr. Ed Berger made it official
Monday afternoon as he announced that he will run for the 34th State Senate seat in the August 2016 November primary.
Berger will challenge Terry Bruce in the primary. Berger will officially file in November or early December. Berger had been contemplating a run for office for several months now, and after hearing what he called enthusiastic support, he has decided he will run for the seat.
The 34th District is made up of Reno County and part of Kingman County.
