HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Two locals were in court Thursday morning for the reading of formal charges in association with their arrest last week.
Fifty-year-old Danny Stahl and 53-year-old Jackie Bowman both face charges involving the distribution of drugs.
Officers with the Reno County Drug Unit allege that during the search of the home in the 600 block of West 5th, back on Oct. 21 and allege that they found a small Mary Kay brand makeup bag. Inside were two small metal boxes, one of which contained a bag of suspected methamphetamine which they allege weighed 2.7 grams. Also in the bag was a digital scale and other similar baggies. In an outside zipper pocket of that bag was $200. They also found numerous different sized pipes on a dresser.
In the living room, they found a Hutchinson Police Department shirt, two more scales and a canister with suspected marijuana, around 4.7 grams.
Charges include possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package drugs and no tax stamp.
Now that formal charges have been filed, the cases against the two will move the future waiver-status docket.
