MCPHERSON, Kan. – A 75-year-old man was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after an accident in McPherson.
The accident occurred at Anna and North High Drive just before 1:30 p.m. The driver was traveling southbound on North High Drive when his vehicle crossed the roadway, striking a pedestrian guard rail, a gas meter, a school crossing sign, a tree, and came to a stop off the roadway in the 800 block of North High Drive. The first officer on the scene found the driver not breathing and started CPR until emergency medical services arrived and he was transported to the hospital in McPherson.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The victims name has not been released.
