ALEXANDRIA, Virginia — The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) installed Bob Fee, AAI, CPCU, of Hutchinson, Kansas, as the newest members of the association’s executive committee at the recent Big “I” Leadership Conference in New Orleans.
Fee is president and COO of Fee Insurance Group based here in Hutchinson.
“Bob Fee is a wonderful addition to the Big ‘I’ leadership team who brings almost 30 years of industry experience to the table,” says Robert Rusbuldt, Big “I” president & CEO. “The Big ‘I’ is proud to a have him serve on the executive committee and looks forward to working with him to continue the association’s good work on behalf of independent insurance agents and brokers across the country.”
Fee has held numerous leadership roles in the independent agent and broker community at the national, state and local levels. Fee previously served on the board of directors for the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents (KAIA) and as the Kansas State Director. He has also served on several KAIA committees including the Government Affairs Committee and was the 2007-2008 KAIA president.
At the national association level, Fee has served on the Government Affairs Committee since 2013. He also served on the Trusted Choice Board from 2008 to 2012 including as chair of the board from 2009 to 2011.
“Bob Fee has been instrumental in protecting and advancing agent interests on the state level,” said Kerri Spielman, KAIA executive director. “It’s a privilege to see Bob continue that tradition by representing agents on the national front. Bob’s energy and commitment will no doubt help lead our industry into the future, which will benefit both the independent channel and the clients they serve.”
Fee is active in his community with numerous charitable and civic organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the USF&G School of Insurance in Baltimore, Maryland. Fee and his wife, Annie, have four children and reside in Hutchinson.
Founded in 1896, the Big “I” is the nation’s oldest and largest national association of independent insurance agents and brokers, representing a network of approximately a quarter of a million agents, brokers and their employees nationally.
